About Me
I am a spinocerebellar ataxia type 3, aka Machado-Joseph Disease(MJD) patient, diagnosed at age 26. My ataxia gene is passed down from my mother. I studied computer science in college and also have a master degree in computer science. After graduating from college, I worked for a software company for 9 years before I was let-go because of my deteriorating health condition.
I was depressed for a while, and even searched on internet ways to commit suicide. Having a movement disorder disease is worse than having cancer, and I had so much to dream about.
I have been a good “fastball” hitter in life. I lived my life having the big things planned out. But now, life throws me a curveball, and I need to learn to deal with the uncertainties in life.
